Questions

Asked often, answered plainly

Is this allowed under schools' AI policies?
The policies schools have published draw a consistent line: feedback and brainstorming are fine, AI-generated essay content is not. That line is the one we’re built on — Second Read gives feedback and scores; it never produces essay prose. Details in our terms.
Do you write essays?
No. Ever. Not a sentence, not a phrase, not a “suggested rewrite.” The product has no feature that outputs essay text, by design.
What happens to my essays?
We never train AI models on your essays. Delete your data any time. The full policy is short and readable: privacy.
What if it's not for me?
14-day refund, no argument. See refunds.
What's the fair-use cap?
150 reviews per season. That’s roughly five full passes over a 30-essay application load — more than any applicant we’ve met actually needs. It exists to stop bulk resale, not to meter you.
Which schools are covered?
Browse the prompt database — it’s public, no login. The database grows weekly during the season, and every entry shows its source and when it was last verified.
